To use with a garden hose: Attach garden hose and pole (not included) to the vac body along with the vac tube and bag. The water pressure from your hose will create a venturi effect, drawing leaves and other debris into the collection bag. An economical and easy way to collect unwanted debris from your pool or spa! 
To use with a suction line and hose: Remove the the vac tube and bag and attach a standard 1-1/2″ hose (not included) to the vac body instead.
